Do Chase Garage Doors offer Garage Door repair services?

As with anything, there are times when Garage Doors are not working or functioning the way that they are designed to. When this happens it is important to use a supplier you can trust to repair your Garage Door – We are proud to offer a second to none repair service with our fees starting at £65 +VAT on a standard Up and Over Garage Door. We will check the locks, handles, sliding mechanisms, panelling and any automation device that could be causing problems for your garage door. Our repair charges start off at 65 plus vat but vary based on your location. Same day service isn’t always available as this is based on the locality of the fitters so please try and ensure you keep your belongings as safe as possible. We do however endeavour to see to your problem as quickly as we can .
Can I see some of your recent installations?

Can I have a roller door with restricted headroom?

Yes you can still have a roller door even if you haven’t got the correct headroom specifications , what would happen though is the box would be set lower down so therefore you would lose some of the headroom on your garage door opening.

How much room do I need?

For the alluguard or Aluroll garage doors for the 77 laths you need 300mm headroom space. For the 55mm laths you need 205 mm headroom.

What is the best door to go for if insulation is the priority?

Sectional door without a doubt.

What are your warranties on your doors?

Hormann sectional doors 10 years, Roller doors 5 years paintwork and motor, 2 years control panel and parts. Up and over doors, side hinged and retractable 5 years.

Do you have time scales from ordering to fitting?

Roller doors take from day of order to fitting 2-3 weeks lead time, Sectional doors 8 weeks lead time, up and over, side hinged and retractable doors 4-5 weeks lead time. Tekentrupp insulated side hinged doors 12 weeks lead time.

Can I install my own door and will my warranty still be covered?

This seems to be quite a grey area from what I have picked up on. The customer would still get the warranty on the actual door and motor but there would be no fitting warranty given out.

Do you take away our old door?

Yes we remove and dispose of your old door for you. (most frequently asked question). There is no charge for this service.

How long does a fit take?

Up and overs, side hinged and roller doors around 2-3 hours. Sectional doors and Tekentrupp doors can take between 6-8 hours.

My batteries have gone in my handsets I’ve changed the batteries and there still not working?

The handsets will not work by just changing the batteries. They have to be re programmed in . Please call the office where you will be given a fitters telephone number so they can talk you through this process. Failure for you to be unable to follow instruction off the fitter would then be a charge of 65.00 + vat for us to come out and re programme for you. Can you confirm whether we do actually give the fitters number to customers ?

My roller door just keeps going up and down up and down, it wont stop where the limits have been set?

This problem indicates the magnet at the bottom of the roller door has moved this prevents the transmitter from working. Its causes a communication problem between working parts. The number 2 light will also be on the control panel. This would mean a fitter would have to go back out and reset the limits.

Is the survey chargeable to come out to see us?

No, it’s a free site survey we offer to all customers if it’s a supply and fit. If you require supply only then no site survey would be carried out. Prior to the survey, we offer a guide price before booking you in the diary so you are comfortable with the price range.

Do we do repairs and supply door parts to the public.

Yes, we do all door repair types and cover a wide range of all door parts. You can have us fit them for a fitting charge or you can collect the part and fit it yourself if your able to do so. Please be aware we do recommend some parts are fitted by a qualified engineer for safety reasons.

Can I have a quote to be sent to our insurers, I’ve gone into my door?
We send a quote of for the customer to send to the insurer on our behalf. We don’t deal directly with the insurance company.
Do you offer any finance on garage doors?
Of course, we take 25 % deposit up front on acceptance of the order. This can be paid over the phone following the acceptance of the order via email. Once your door is installed payment is on installation. Payment is taken on site usually but in the event, the fitters can’t get a signal if you’re paying on a card then you can call the office to pay over the phone or by bacs transfer. We do also accept cash or cheque which should be given to the fitting team.
Failure to pay within 7 days incurs a 2 % surcharge to be added to your bill .
I have had my door fitted but I’ve received no final bill.

When you paid the deposit an invoice was created and sent out to you, the balance at the bottom of that invoice was the amount due to be paid on door completion. This amount will be collected by the fitters on completion or you can call the office within 7 days to pay.

Can I have a garage door to match my windows or front door?

Yes, you can. We offer a ral to choose an option on our aluroll garage doors.

What happens once my door is installed ?

The fitters will show you how to operate your new door. They will discuss your warranty and show you your user manual. At this point, you may be offered to join of maintenance scheme to give you peace of mind to protect your warranty. You will then be asked to sign that you are happy with your door, the installation and the service provided to you by CHASE GARAGE DOORS.

Do you offer surveys on a weekend?

Yes, we do we survey Saturday morning and early afternoon to coincide with the closure of our showroom at 2 pm. We are moving to offer surveys 6 days a week in the next few weeks. MTWTFS not on Sunday’s!!!
