What are Split Garage Doors?

There has been a higher demand for Split Garage Doors over recent years that take the traditional style of garages and change things up a little – Split Garage doors offer customers the ability to use their garage as a fully functioning room and entrance. As the name suggests split garage doors aim to split the garage into two halves; one of the halves will be solid and the other will be a door that will allow for access into the garage. Whilst this means the Garage may not be usable for your car this does mean that you will have an additional space for you and your family to use.

In addition to this, most of the time split and single hinged garage doors come in a horizontal style that splits usually directly in the middle.

What is the Select Rufford Garage Door?

The select Rufford garage door is an extremely attractive garage door and utilises the latest horizontal medium ribbed Rufford effect. There are a wide range of colours for this modern and also classic design. The style works for all types of Garages and there are many things that you can customise to ensure that your new garage door is everything you wanted and more. The Rufford garage door included within this post is a single hinged variant and provides the customer with ease of access to their garage through the fully functioning door.

Our Recent Installation

One of our recent installations was in Shrewsbury in Shropshire – the customer made a stylish choice for their new Garage Door – They chose a select Rufford Anthracite Grey Door with a 50/50 split. This provides them with ease of accessibility and gave their old garage door a new and modern renovation. The steel-framed door that the customer decided to go for complimented their current front door and improved the overall exterior of their home.  Overall the customer feedback was that the new garage door provided them with A new opening system for the family to use as well as an improved visual appeal to the property. They are extremely happy with their new garage door.

Below we have provided the before and after pictures for this installation so you can get a feel for how Split Garage Doors are able to change and improve upon the style of your current garage door.
